General Introduction

A complete PET bottle CSD Filling line mainly includes several systems: Water Treatment System to provide pure water as raw material, Bottle Blow Molding System(optional) to make PET bottles supply for filler, beverage drink mixing and carbonating system, filling-labeling-packing system, auxiliary machine system like chiller, steam boiler, air compressor etc.

CSD refers to carbonated soft drinks.
Our filling valves apply Isobaric Mechanical structure. By this way, after filling, the drink CO2 content can be kept inside maximumly, stable and without bad foaming which can affect the bottle filling liquid level. CO2 content rate, filling liquid level control, filling speed efficiency, they are three factors to judge whether a csd filling machine is qualifed or not.

Sugar Melting Tank

Sugar mix with hot water to get Syrup A: Brix 50-60%. Hot Water is prepared by electric heating or steam heating.

Mixing Tank Unit

Syrup A pumped to Mixing tank together with RO water, ingredients, addictives, flavors, preservatives etc.
to get Syrup B. Syrup B brix: 30-40%

Carbonating Mixer

To Mix Syrup B, degassed water and CO2 together to get final csd.
Syrup B and degassed water pre-mix first to get Syrup C. Syrup C Brix: 10 % ( by practical need).
Syrup C after cooling to 0-4℃, pumped to carbonating mixing tank with CO2 to get ready CSD for filling.

Chilling System

To provide -5 ℃ ice water. Ice waer tank is connected to PHE( one part in Carbonating Mixer) to cool down Syrup C to 0-4℃.

Carbonating Mixer: How to Make Carbonated Soft Drinks

Cold Type Carbonating Mixer includes 5 tanks and one PHE unit. 5 Tanks refer to water degassing tank, syrup tank, degassed water tank,pre-mixing tank, and carbonating mixing tank. PHE means plate heat exchanger, which plays a important roles during carbonating, as it keeps a stable and cold mixing temperature for CO2 and syrup (water) mixing carbonating.


The machine applies external cooling mixer by European advanced technology. Main characteristic is imported 304 stainless steel jointing, polish roughness up to standard 0.4, CIP rinsing automatic control, sanitary conditions reliable and up to standard, the machine with high automation, no need for operator action after startup.


Mainly used for mixing machining of all kinds of carbonated drinks, it also can be used for mixing machining of pulpiness drinks, and ferment drinks. With the function of GOB system, after vacuum oxygen degassing,, sterilized water with CO2 and sugar one-shot synthesis according to the customer’s demand proportion.

Main Features

Beverage mixer is applied for carbonation and proportion mixing of various gas beverages (water, syrup, and CO2), such as lemon and Cola. It is the main equipment among the complete equipment of beverage production line (especially the key equipment producing middle-and top-level beverage).

1. The machine adopts injector for the addition of CO2 and Venturi injector for CO. The injector can keep constant flow all the time and ensure stationary flowing situation. Besides large area of gasquid mass transfer, small resistance loss, high efficiency, low energy consumption, and simple structure, it adopts the multi-stage mixing pump with reliable performance and low noise. The start/stop controlled by the floating ball liquid level controller on finish cans guarantees the performance of the whole machine.

2. The mixing proportion is accurate and easy for adjustment. With no need of parts replacement, the machine can realize the quick output adjustment and the proportion of syrup and water. The beverage water and thin syrup enter mixing tank after proportioning of the manual adjusting valve with scale. As the water tank and sugar tank are of the same height and pressure, the proportion within the mixing tank remain stable. Prior to access to the mixing tank, they are fully mixed in the mixer; The beverage mixing ratio can be ensured.

3. In the degassing tank, the vacuum pump makes the pressure of dissolved gas in water sprayed into the tank as mist higher than that on the water surface, thus releasing above 90% of O2 from the dissolved water.

4. The machine adopts the plate heat exchanger for cooling. When the beverage water and thin syrup enter mixing tank through the manual adjusting valve with scale, the mixing pump enters the plate heat exchanger after pressure lifting, fully mixing the beverage water and thin syrup. At the same time, making use of the inherent feature of plate heat exchanger, ice water is added on the other side, not only mixing the beverage water and thin syrup, but also reducing temperature and improving carbonation effect. Before entry, appropriate CO2 can be added for a better blend of sugar, water and gas.

5. The machine is convenient to adjust the gas content. According to the requirements of beverage gas content, the adjustment can be done through proper operation.

6. The machine has perfect automatic control system, featured by coordinate action, simple structure, continuous production, and high automation.

7. The machine is fitted with an in-place cleaning technique flow with reasonable structure, convenient for CIP cleaning and in compliance with Food Hygiene Law of the People’s Republic of China.
